July 22nd, 2023 - Mr. & Miss Teenage Pageant

The Mr and Miss Teenage Pageant creates opportunities for students within the secondary schools to become role models for their peers and younger individuals. The competition judges the delegates based on their education, performance, elocutionary and talent.

July 23rd, 2023 - Queen of Carnival

Queen of Carnival Pageant: One distinctive feature of Antigua's Carnival is the highly anticipated ``Queen of Carnival`` beauty pageant. Talented young women compete for the prestigious title, showcasing their grace, beauty, and cultural knowledge.

July 27th, 2023 – Official Opening

Antigua’s Carnival will kick off with the Opening Parade through the capital city filled with culture, majorettes/cheerleaders, and floats. This is followed by the opening ceremony to declare Antigua’s Carnival officially open.

July 28th, 2023 – Face Off

Two of Antigua and Barbuda’s leading soca artists go head-to-head in the ultimate battle of talent, entertainment and fun! Ricardo Drue and Tian Winter have joined the line up for Antigua’s carnival in a soca battle.

July 29th, 2023 – T-shirt Mas

A parade through the streets of St. John’s, but the only requirement is that you must wear a T-shirt. The T-shirt can be modified to suit your style of choice; in fact, ladies have used T-shirts to make dresses, bikinis, rompers, and the fashion list goes on. Even the men have their input in transforming their shirts into modern styles.

July 30th, 2023 – Junior Carnival/Junior Calypso

Children's Carnival: Antigua's Carnival places great emphasis on including the younger generation. A dedicated Children's Carnival takes place, providing children with their own parade, costume competitions, and activities, allowing them to experience the joy and spirit of the festival.

July 31st, 2023 – Jaycees Queen Show

A Queen Show comprising of delegates from across regional and international countries hosted by the JCI Organization.

August 1st, 2023 – Drue’s Day

Just as the name suggests, Ricardo Drue, one of Antigua’s top soca artistes will host the annual Drue’s Day Event. Although a Private Event, this allows patrons to forget about everything, and focus on having a really good time. Sounds of music from all genres, as well as local and regional artistes will simply captivate your mind. Drue’s Day will give feters the ultimate Carnival experience – rum, music, dancing, friends, and fun!

August 2nd, 2023 – Junior Party Monarch

Young talent across Antigua competes for the title of Junior Party Monarch in this display of drama, entertainment and fun.

August 3rd, 2023 – Caribbean Melting Pot

Melting Pot is a compilation of several local, regional and international artistes, from different genres, cooked up together to form the second biggest event on the Carnival lineup. Soca, Calypso, Reggae, Dancehall, Zouk and R&B generes are usually represented, with entertainers such as Movado, Aidonia, Kassav, Romaine Virgo, and Bunji Garlin, gracing the Antigua Carnival stage in the past shows.

August 4th, 2023 – Calypso Monarch

Calypso, a popular Caribbean music genre, takes centre stage during Antigua's Carnival. The ``Calypso Monarch Competition`` is a major highlight, where talented calypsonians compete with witty lyrics and social commentary, entertaining the crowds.

August 5th, 2023 – Panorama

Antigua's Carnival embraces the soulful melodies of steel pan music. Steel bands from across the island participate in the Panorama Competition, showcasing their rhythmic skills and creating a mesmerizing atmosphere.

August 6th, 2023 – Party Monarch

Soca, a lively and energetic genre of Caribbean music, dominates the Carnival's soundtracks. Local soca artists performing to ensure a constant rhythm that keeps the crowds dancing and celebrating compete for the crown of “Party Monarch” and proceed the early morning jam, J’Ouvert.

August 8th, 2023 – Parade of the bands/Last lap - Troupes and Costumes

The Carnival revelers join organized troupes and adorn themselves in elaborate, colorful costumes, often inspired by themes of nature, folklore, or current events. The attention to detail and creativity in costume design make Antigua's Carnival visually captivating. The festival concludes with the ``Last Lap`` parade, a grand finale filled with vibrant costumes, music, and dancing.

August 7th, 2023 – J’ouvert/Carnival Monday

``J'Ouvert`` pronounced joo-vay is where revelers cover themselves in colorful paint, water and dance through the streets from the wee hours of the morning until daybreak.
