Curtain Bluff

A luxury tale of two beaches

Welcome to Curtain Bluff, Antigua, consistently ranked among the finest resorts and tennis centers in the world. A perfect destination for weddings, family gatherings and spa holidays. With a beach on each side: one is calm, ideal for swimming and water sports, the other beach is washed by ocean surf.

72 rooms and suites, all with staggering seascape views, are spread out along the Surf Beach and up the bluff. There are two restaurants: the open-walled Tamarind Tree serving breakfasts and candle-lit dinners, and The Sea Grape restaurant where barefoot casual lunches and romantic dinners are enjoyed one step from the sand and a few feet from the water’s edge.

The resort’s exceptional facilities include a championship tennis center, a fully equipped watersports center (scuba, Windsurfing, paddle-boarding, waterskiing, Hobie Cats and kayaks), a squash court and fitness center. When it’s time to relax, there’s our tranquil spa overlooking the sea, a beachside swimming pool, a beach bar, and hammocks swaying in the shade of coconut palms.

With the exception of a few above-and-beyond luxuries (Cuban cigars, vintage wines, spa treatments), everything is included in the room rate, making it one of the best values in the Caribbean.

The Spa at Curtain Bluff

The 5,000 square-foot Spa at Curtain Bluff is located on the bluff of one of the oldest and most elegant resorts in Antigua. It sits overlooking the ocean and the nearby island of Montserrat. The combination of impeccable service, the gentle swaying of the waves, the fresh breeze and the spectacular Caribbean lush surroundings, makes the Spa at Curtain Bluff a paradise of pampering and relaxation that will sooth all your senses.

There are open-air walkways, waterfalls, a relaxation room with a water view and a ten-person hot tub overlooking the ocean. Guests embark on this unique soothing experience from the moment they walk in the Spa. They change into a soft and comfortable robe and slippers and go relax on the outdoor veranda relaxation room overlooking the ocean. The concierge serves the Curtain Bluff lemongrass and ginger tea “shots” grown from the resort’s own herb garden. Following treatments, guests can relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi and refresh their palates with “Spa Bites”. The guests are welcome to enjoy the exceptional view and comfortable loungers on the terrace as long as they want. There is a bar available with drinks and cold towels that the concierge will be happy to serve to them.

The Spa at this family-friendly resort also offers treatments for children. Basic massages and facials can be tempered for those under 18 years of age. The set-up of the spa is ideal, so parents can observe the treatment while relaxing on the balcony enjoying the fresh sea breeze.
