EXPERIENCE THE ARTS DURING ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA ART WEEK
In Antigua and Barbuda, the vibrant energy of art, music, fashion, spoken word, and dance will engulf the twin-island paradise for seven days during the second edition of Antigua and Barbuda Art Week (ABAW) from November 27 to December 3, 2024.
Throughout the week, the landscape will be adorned with colourful and poignant displays of Antigua and Barbuda’s rich art at stunning exhibitions. The air will resonate with the sounds of live music and evocative spoken word performances, dancers will perform dynamic routines and the creativity of artisans and fashion designers will be on display, all bringing the twin-island to life.
Inspired spectators will have the chance to explore technical aspects of various art forms, gaining insights from experts. They can also immerse themselves in hands-on experiences by picking up paintbrushes and participating in interactive painting sessions with featured artists. This celebration of creativity promises to transform Antigua and Barbuda into a living canvas, reflecting the islands’ artistic soul and cultural diversity.
Antigua and Barbuda Minister of Tourism, The Honourable Charles Fernandez says, “Antigua and Barbuda Art Week showcases the range of work that Antigua and Barbuda artists have to offer, from painters, musicians, sculptors, poets, dancers and more. Art Week brings increased national, regional and international attention to their talent, as we continue to fill out our destination calendar with new and exciting events that promote our culture”.
